Giant Catch Up

-School starts back next Thursday. I'm super excited! More about lockers than anything. :D
I also miss my friends that I haven't seen a lot this summer. So I'm excited to see them.

-As I type, I'm sitting here in bed with my cousin asleep beside me and my other cousin and sister asleep down the hall. So glad they're here for our last weekend of summer!!!

-I recently went to church camp which was amazing. Three people accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. It was so awesome!! It was also really fun hanging out with my friends.

-Speaking of church, I'll be in the youth in about three weeks. (7th-12th grade) I'm mainly ready to go because of the worship time. It reminds me of the praise band at my school that I really enjoy. Hopefully I'll get to use my talents and sing for The Lord. Nothing could be more awesome.

-We were able to talk to my Uncle JP over FaceTime the other night. I miss him a lot! Sometimes I think, "Why did it have to be the Navy? Why not something closer?" But we know he's doing what he's supposed to be doing. He is really homesick, though. Please keep him in your prayers.

-As I type, I am sitting in the waiting room of the hospital anticipating my new little cousin's arrival!!!
We love you Landree!!!!

Crazy cousins!

-My mom has found out how to do monograms on her silhouette machine!!! I'm making her monogram all my stuff now.;-)

-Middle school drama. Argh. Enough said.

-God has put so many girls in our small group at school!!! What a blessing! I love when they genuinely try to participate!!!!

-Sorry for wasting 5 minutes of your life.;-)

No More Bullies

I've never been one to pass out in descriptive discussions or anything like that. But the other day I was in Bible class. We are reading a book right now called No More Bullies by Frank Perretti. This particular part we were discussing in class was talking about his birth. The doctors had to pull him out with forceps, and the forceps slipped and damaged his lymphnod.

In my seat while listening, I started feeling funny. I knew it was because of the discussion and (not having any experience passing out in class) I raised my hand to use the restroom so I could get out of there ASAP.

Minutes later, my arm got tired. I set it on the back of my chair.

"Please acknowledge my hand!" I thought.

I looked at the floor. My eyes were getting fuzzy...

I woke up on the floor of the classroom with my teacher kneeling over me.

   "Emma, Emma?"

   "Yes, Mrs. Ward?"

   "You just passed out."

   "Oh."

My classmates were panicking. My homeroom teacher said that of course I had to be the center of attention.;-)

My friends said they thought I was bending down to pick up my pencil and then I just fell gracefully!!

It was a crazy day!! I'm a little scared about the next discussion... ;D

It really is a great book though. It gives an eye opening look to the fact that bullying is real and what the bully, the victim, and the bystander need to change about it.
